i have downloaded eclipse and a jdk but when i try to launch eclipse it tells me that i have no jdk or jre java virtual machine where it is supposed to be located.
Try installing kubuntu-restricted-extras. This will install JRE . Connect to the internet, open Konsole Terminal Program and input:
sudo apt-get install kubuntu-restricted-extras
