i need some instruction for kubuntu KDE

I've just install newest distro kubuntu KDE but i don't know how to use it because it's different from ubuntu hardy heron i'm using.
So please help me!

Are you serious? Kde is SO different from gnome that you dont know how to use it? Then a quick start: KDE have not the "Gnome" button ( the foot) have the "K" button. Press there and and start the app you want to use.

More seriously: if you ask a specific question you will get a specific answer, but if you ask "i have kde but its not gnome", i realy cant see how we can help you.

Yes kde is very different. And depending on the version extremely different.

Which version did you install?
the hardy kde3.5.9 or the newest Hardy kde4.1?

A good place to start is in the K (starter)->help menu.

Btw if you are used to ubuntu then I would suggest installing synaptic with:

sudo apt-get install synaptic

in a terminal (k-->system-->konsole / terminal)

or with k->system->adept package manager.

As you have noticed you will find most of your apps in K (starter)

If you have questions just ask away. The more precise the question the better the chances of a helpful and quick answer

Thanks for all your replies .I use KDE 4.1 and now i can't add or remove programs or install and anything. Can i install *.deb in kubuntu

Installing.

I use synaptic (just like ubuntu)

You can use sudo apt-get install to install anything.

adept package manager (as described above should work)

Why do you want to install .debs right now?
If you really need to get gdebi (sudo apt-install gdebi)
Try using the ubuntu / kubuntu repositories first and get your mins around kde4.1 first. It drasticlay different to gnome.

Adept Manager in 4.1 is barely working, partially. I would advise using apt-get for package installation, at this stage of development.
