    Do I have 32 or 64 bit computer?

    Hi!
    Is there anyway to tell if I have 32 or 64 bit computer so I could choose the right download file
    Here is info on my computer. I can't say it makes me any wiser/

    I'm fairly sure that Intel dual core processors are all 64 bit capable. However, that doesn't mean that 64 bit kubuntu is the best choice for you. You can run the 32 bit version just as well, or you can try the 64 bit version which will provide some speed advantages in certain scenarios, but it also may have some compatibility issues with certain programs or hardware.

      The 2140 is 64 bit Yes...

        I installed hardy 64 on my dual core AMD homebuilt and had a heck of a time with flash and Java plug-ins for firefox. I switched to the 86 version and those problems have gone away. I receive confirmation from a veteran tux that the 64 version creates these kinds of incompatibility issues. I spent hours looking for different fixes--nothing worked.
