Re: help my install has gone wrong it wont load anymore it just freezes
right i have now got external hardrive so can backup my system i would like to format and remove the windows and the Linux partition on this drive so i can install a clean fresh dual boot system... so can anyone help me there
as last time i did this using SUSE it nearly screwed my hole hardrive.
also do i go with kubuntu 8.10 or just stick with 8.04
Re: help my install has gone wrong it wont load anymore it just freezes
I would suggest, that at this time, you stick with 8.04 running KDE 3.5.9 as the Linux OS for your fresh reinstall on your dual-boot system with XP. The link below is considered by many to be the best guide out there on setting up dual-boot systems using Windoze and Linux. I've used as have many others.
Windows no longer obstructs my view.
Using Kubuntu Linux since March 23, 2007.
