How to update to the latest kernel

I am still new to kubuntu(well, linux in all), and in order for me to install ndiswrapper, it seems that I must have the latest kernel updated, so my question is, how do I update to the latest kernel?

From the ndiswrapper site:

Prerequisites
You need a recent kernel, at least 2.6.18 or 2.4.26, with kernel headers, and gcc-3.4 or newer.

Most likely you meet the kernel requirements. Type in a konsole

 uname -a

to check the version you're having.
