    Ip filtering?

    Hi!

Any suggestions for an ip filtering application?
I need one, for using it with p2p sharing programs.
Does someone using any ip filtering application? Preferably an easy one to install?

    Re: Ip filtering?

You may try to use iptables
And as far as I know, iptables already in Kubuntu. No need to install. How to use it, maybe you can do some googling, since I don't know how to use it too...

      Re: Ip filtering?

The torrent clients now usually come with some plugin for ipfiltering.
If more is needed you can try iplist . It's sort of a very rugged PeerGuardian for Linux.

        THANKS guys!!!

I'll try both options and I'll google for more ofcourse!

Indeed I'm using (at windows) azureus, that has a related plugin, so there is no problem there.
I was just wondering for a global solution (like the suggested iplist), because I want to try also some classic p2p apps (like amule or frostwire) and I'm not sure about them, since they aren't torrent clients.

        THANKS for the suggestions!!!
Let me try some options and I'll be back.
        THANKS again!!!
