how do i modify startup programs

I cannot find any ways to control what programs startup when kubuntu boots.

I guess you can call it the alternative to
    Code:
    msconfig
    in the windows 'run' box.

is there a package or any certain way you can list all the programs at once instead of doing it one by one?

Please tell us what version of Kubuntu (and KDE) you are running.

      sorry, its

      when i used
      Code:
      cat /etc/issue
      it said Ubuntu 8.04.1

      and if this matters:
      release 2.6.24-19-generic

Take a look at K Menu > System Settings > Advanced > Startup (IIRC - I'm on HH KDE 4.1.00 at the moment).

Snowhog can I drop something like "Liquid Weather" in there since it's a superkarumba app? I'm not at my machine right now so I can't try that. But I have the same versions as the O.P.

You will need to put SuperKaramba in there.....
