How to remove kubuntu and keep ubuntu

I have kubuntu installed on my laptop dull booting with windows xp. Today i installed ubuntu using command "sudo aptitude install ubuntu-desktop" and I like it much better than KDE. Even though I have 80 Gig hard drive and space is no issue, I was thinking of removing kubuntu. Any suggestions? is there going to be any problems with previously installed dependencies in kubuntu if removed?

    Thanks in advance.
    Regards.

    Code:
    sudo apt-get remove kde
you will be fine if you have gnome up and running^_^ But KDE will be sad and miss you V_V

Slightly different answer. Use the command:
      sudo apt-get remove kubuntu-desktop

Thanks. I removed it using "sudo apt-get remove kubuntu-desktop".
Why do i still see choose session option for KDE still there at start up?

Have a look at http://www.psychocats.net/ubuntu/puregnome . This suggests that a longer more complex command should be copied and pasted...
