    Themes wont install on Kubuntu

    OKay...even using Theme Manager, I cant get a theme to install. I download it, and try to open it with the Manager...it says its not a vaild theme. I have extracted it...and gone into the folder itself...it doesnt find any theme file. There is a .desktop file in there, but it doesnt seem to do anything. This theme was downloaded from KDELook.org.

    I would appreciate any help you can give...Im getting annoyed again.

    Tell a bit more:

    This is ?:
    Kubuntu 6.06/7.10/8.04 ?
    KDE Theme ? What is the name of the theme ? Url to the theme ?

    Are there "install"/"readme" -files ?
    Is there installation instructions in the KDE-Look.org page ?


    A very short "A proper KDE theme" should have (made by the Theme manager)

    Saving KDE look
    You could use kde theme manager /1/ and "Create New Theme"/"Install New Theme"

    Press Alt + F2 type kcontrol > Control Centre /2/ > Appearance & Themes > Theme Manager > Create New Theme > Ok >

    Theme Created - notification
    Your theme has been successfully created
    in /home/<user>/.kde/share/apps/kthememanager/themes/My Theme.kth.

    There will be (Theme name = My Domino):

    My Domino.kth (binary file) and directory My Domino:

    Files:
    My Domino.preview.png
    My Domino.xml

    Directories:
    sounds
    wallpapers (could have subdirectories: desktop, konqueror)


    You could wrap/pack those files in the tar-ball: "My Domino.tar.gz". Theme manager should unpack and install .kth and Theme directory to the /home/<user>/.kde/share/apps/kthememanager/themes/.

      And more specifically, which version of KDE Theme did you download: KDE 3.2 - 3.5, KDE 4.0, GTK 1.x

      A downloaded theme must have been created for the version of KDE you have installed on your system.
      Windows no longer obstructs my view.
