home directory missing files after fsck, can't reboot from that partition?

home directory missing files after fsck, don't have a clue how to recover or restore
I have installed Kubuntu on new partition and can mount previous but thats as far as i can get

Is this a fairly new drive or one that may be showing age?

its new i probably screwed it up when it was repartitioned
