can't finish instalation

hi there with apt-get i tryed to install lilypond-data and lilypond , the problem is that lilypond-data is not fully installed , i can't remove it , can't update it or upgrade it give error that the file does not exist . i have tryed removing lilypond-data with apt-get remove and dpkg remove after i realized itwas , then ubuntu says that there the file is not existing Please help me .

Sounds like not only are you asking in the wrong forum, but you have a broken package. Personally, I always use Synaptic to fix broken packages.

or if you want to remove the package then

$apt-get --purge <package-name>

and that package will be removed for sure...
