Now I can view my network shared folder on my linux pc - from a windows pc.

Take a look through The Official Samba 3.2.x HOWTO and Reference Guide Lots of examples on different system configurations.Windows no longer obstructs my view.

You're welcome. Assuming you are running Hardy Heron 8.04, then take a look at Share files and folders with other computers too.Windows no longer obstructs my view.
