Editing PHP in Kate [SOLVED]

I'm working on a webpage and started editing PHP documents in Kate as they show up nicely there, but if I use letters like ÆØÅ (becouse of my language), the look ok in Kate, but when I upload the document to the webpage, they show up as strange letters and not Æ Ø Å. Strange?

Have you tried to change kate settings ? I think that kate is using utf-8 as default. Maybe that is the problem.

Something like (using non-english version) : Kate > Settings > Configure Kate... > Editor > Open/Save > Encoding.. -> iso 8859-1

> ISO/IEC 8859-1
