    Start Gaming!

I have read in the ununtu forums some guys wanted to create Gubuntu a gaming linux distro..
I think Kubuntu or ubuntu can do it by integrating it in their OS..

If you guys could pull it of that you can play a whole lot of DX games, then you would get a very big lot of attention by the gaming community
Probably you would get more FPS out of kubuntu/ubuntu then Vista!

Gaming is very very much big bussness and gamers want to have a strong/stable gaming OS..
(The revenues of the gaming industrie exeeds the movie industrie)

If kubuntu/ubuntu can pull this of they will have very big success!

And i do not mean wine who is allright but not realy that good...

my only suggestion would be cedega but that is a subscribed memebrship only, you have to subscribe before you can download the software.

I'm sure others have installed it via unofficial if not illegal methods but that is something I would not advise you doing.

Cedega? Wine runs more games now. I see nothing that cedega has and wine doesn't.

        sorry

although cedega is a wine fork, I assume they communicate with one another with cedega having paid support for research and development and wine not.

          I have cedega

Although some games workout nicely, manny others still dont..
A gamer should be able play any games he sees in the gamestore..

I haven't moved to kubuntu yet; I'm waiting for my laptop to arrive.

I couldn't bear to part with my beloved bioshock, and even when I do migrate to kubuntu, I'll keep winXP around for the sole reason of playing that one game. (maybe a couple of other ones if I feel so inclined.)

            Also, FIRST POST. o_o
