I recently decided to give Linux a try over windows, and installed Kubuntu. I have a Linksys WMP54GS PCI card, but I can't connect to my house's wireless internet. (I currently have the computer moved so I can plug directly into the router, but this is not a good permanent solution)
I have tried a couple methods I've read on various forums, currently I'm using the 'ndiswrapper' approach. I have both the WMP54GS and WMP54GSa drivers installed under 'windows wireless drivers', and they both say "hardware present: yes".
The router is WEP enabled. When I try to enter the essid and key KNetworkManager freezes at 28%, I've also tried KWifiManager, and Wireless Assistant, but have had no success with those either.
My ifconfig is as follows:------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

and if there is any more information I can provide, please let me know
