    If you do it the medibuntu way the medibuntu sources.list is added to the folder:
    /etc/apt/sources.list.d
    HP Pavilion dv6 core i7 (Main)
    4 GB Ram
    Kubuntu 18.10

        As Fintan told: The recommended/safe way, is to use sources.list.d:

        man sources.list
        SOURCES.LIST.D

        The /etc/apt/sources.list.d directory provides a way to add sources.list entries in seperate files that end with .list. The format is the same as for the regular sources.list file.
        Before you edit, BACKUP !

          You should never use sudo to start graphical applications as root... The recommended/safe way...
          Should never, must not, must not, must... not... believe... what.. they... say... Need.. evidence... Got... to... resist... Got... to... arrrghh!!!
