Dual boot puter turns itself on!!!....lol

I have a computer that I dual boot Kubuntu and XP. When I shut down on the Linux side it will turn itself back on. I am not sure how long after shut down this happens. If I shut down on windoze side this does not happen. Any ideas? Thanks. Oh and Thanks to all the vets on our countries birth day.

How are you shutting down from Linux? Have you tried going in to konsole and typing

sudo shutdown -h now

That should turn off the computer.

Also check K>"system settings">advanced>"session manager". You may have set it up so that it automagically does a reboot>
