    Application install & Amorak

    Really new to it all.
Downloaded a linux version of skype in a Bzip2 file. When I open this file, what is the installation process? Where would that application then be found?

    Also:
How do I import a ripped cd into amorak.

Laim questions I know, but I gotta start somewhere.

    For ripping, try Goobox.

to import files into your Amarok collection, you just need to move the files to the folder you specify, either going to "Tools" - "First-Run Wizard" or under "settings" - "Configure Amarok" - "Collection".

I first made a directory in my home folder called Music, then I point Amarok there. Amarok will then automatically add all songs from there into its database. You can make this easier by specifying the output directory (in KAudioCreator or Goobox) to this folder, so you won't need to copy anything maually, and Amarok automatically scans when new files are added if that option is checked in the Collections options.
