cdr - free space - question

How do I find out how much space is left in my CDRs ?

    Dolphin is no help.

I also have Thunar installed. It says on this cdr I am using now: 58 items (69 MB) Free Space : 0 B

But I have more than 600MB free space on that cdr.

    Other CDRs get similar results.

How do I find out how much free space in a CDR ?

Re: cdr - free space - question

CDRs can only be written to once, so once it's burnt, that's it, that's all, no more. and that's why it says you have 0bytes left.

If can, get a CDRW drive and some CDRW - that way you can re-write to them if need be, ie: re-burn them over and over.

    or

a DVDRW and DVDRW discs - so u can burn to and write DVD discs over and over again.

Yes DVDR is the same as CDR but a dvd blank disc that can also be written to only once.

This cdr is an appendable cdr. I have wriiten to it multiple times.

I wrote to it succesfully after I posted the original post of this thread.

I do not know what you are talking about.

This cdr still has over 500MB of free space that I can write to. I can see that
      clearly in Windows.

How can I see in Kubuntu how much free space is left on a CDR ?
