Hi

I plugged in a sony erricson k790a, with a sd memory card 1gb. Kubuntu did not respond in anyway. I needed to transfer some music to the phone sd card.

WHAT KIND OF SOFTWARE DO I NEED?

I also have a usb camera I am trying to install?

funny.
i have a sony ericsson k750i and have no problems with it.
same with my wife's nikon coolpix.
they're both simply seen as removable hd.
it really depends on the device, though.

i have a canon 400d eos that i access via gimp with the gimp-ufraw plugin
which provides support for raw camera images.

oh, and i'm still on 7.10.
and will stay that way for another good while, since everything works beautifully for me.
