I downloaded from the synaptic download manager both the xbfx program and the kicker program. Loaded both programs and saved a session with the kicker running, but when I right click to configure the KDE panel (defaults is white) I get this message instead.

Reseting the kicker via the terminal with a command I found on the internet didno't fix the issue.
