    Hi,
I don't know the quickbooks, and neither are into accounting but I did know a package - that I use for my home accounting (if I could call it that )

    the package is : KmyMoney
is more a Personal finance manager but it may help u. Or not.

I suspect that gnucash is a little better than kmymoney, but since I don't use kmymoney, I really can't say. Neither is up to the standards of QBPro. Search at Freshmeat and Sourceforge. If you come up with anything decent let me know

MyBooks Pro Accounting solution by Appgen sounds like what you are looking for. Stumbled across this at tuxmagazine. Hope it helps.
Kubuntu, I'm learning it, I'm loving it.
