kubuntu kppp dial up password problem

Hi again,
I have just changed over from the dark side to Linux and although I like what I see I am having a strange problem getting on the internet.
I have gone through KPPP to set the dial up and I have told it I am using Tiscali but when I finished the settings and try to log on both the Logig ID and Password boxes are grayed out won't let me type anything in them either.
Any ideas?
