If you resolution is okay please make a backup copy of your /etc/X11/xorg.conf

i fixed my adept problem and my screen res problem turns out my screen res problem was due to me not plugging in the usb lead to the monitor for the inbuilt webcam and for the usb hub as soon as i done that it all worked

must be the way it knows its this type of monitor or summit

last two things to do now install beryl and compvis and guilt my web cam working

as for the webcam if anyone has any ideas its the inbuilt one for a asus pg191 monitor
