There are mixed results with the ACX111 ranging from "works great" to "haven't got it working".

I actually reinstalled kubuntu (which isn't recognised by the konqueror spell checker ) and the OS thinks that the card is working but not detecting any networks. while I had my sandbox 30 gig hd free I installed freebsd and there project evil ndiswrapper found networks but could not connect.

I think that the faulty acx drivers are somehow interfearing with ndis can Iii disable them to find out?

I found this and followed the instructions and all was happy. I am posting from the box now booted in kubuntu over wireless!!!
