if this is common knowledge among new to linux KDE then I apologise now.
In my ramblings on the web I came across a section on the KDE-Artists.org site about using the "Kcontrol" from the run command to add extra icons etc without having to go through all of the added hastle of unpacking & putting the files into the relevent folders.
I have had great fun modifying the colour scheme & icon sets at will tonight.
