Can't install: font too huge to pick language

Excuse newbie question - but I can't find a solution in FAQ or forum to the gigantic font problem that will work _prior_ to installation. That is, at installation my screen is unreadable when it comes to the "install language" question. A simple "Enter" and crossing fingers doesn't work.

Is there an install parameter (under F6, for example) that will keep things readable?

Is that a Live CD that you are using? You might have a better situation with the Alternate Install CD -- it is "text mode" or character mode, and has more choices.

If you want to try "safe graphics" mode on your Live CD, that might be better.

Under F6, there are some choices (which I can't remember) -- I think "VGA" is in there, which might or might not give a better result. You could also try some of the "cheat codes" for booting --- "vga=785" and "vga=791" are fairly popular.
