Broken nvidia driver in Kubuntu Fiesty

    Hi all,

I'm a relative noobie to Linux, so please be gentle!

I successfully installed a dual boot with Vista 64 and Kubuntu, all working properly with Compiz etc. Then I stupidly tried to update my nvidia driver (it was working fine), and now it's completely broken. I can still get to KDE but only by using the "nv" driver.

So I need some help and I don't know where to start. Which log files should I post in order to help get things going?

    Thanks in advance!

Ah, thank you, that worked a treat. Not sure why my original searches didn't bring me that result hence my post. I would've liked to get a better understanding of what was wrong but I guess that will come with time and experience.

      Thanks again.
