    Re: msn help !

    Welcome to the party

    You should have kopete in:
    kmenu>internet
    http://kopete.kde.org/

    Or you can install pidgin:
    http://www.pidgin.im/

    or kmess:
    http://www.kmess.org/

Pidgin and kmes are in the repositories.
You can install them with adept or:
    Code:
    sudo apt-get install pidgin
    Code:
    sudo apt-get install kmes
    from a terminal (kmenu>system)

If you have msn and yahoo or others the first two are great if you only have msn all three are great. It is just a matter of preference.

    I hope that helps

        Re: msn help !

does the installation hang at that particular line?
perhaps you could paste the last lines from the terminal

apt-get downloads the package automatically (if it is not in cache), you don't need a separate download

also, if there's a search window in K main menu, if you type the program your looking for into there, it'll find it. If it doesn't find it, it's not installed properly.
