new to Kontact - need to upgrade from thunderbird

Hi
I've used thunderbird in past but have now upgraded to Kontact with Hardy H (3.??) - However, how do I get my old mail from thunderbird 2.0.0.12 out to put the old mail into Kontact - I tried the thunderbird pages but cannot make head or tail from It

Welcome to the party

I have not done it before because I am sticking with thunderbird / spicebird but try installing: kmailcvt with adept/synaptic or simlpy:

sudo apt-get install kmailcvt

in a terminal.

Then go to kmail/kontact and do file>import mail and choose the format.

I hope this works
