Re: Firefox has a X icon? [FIXED!]

    Hi Aldrik

Thanks for the post, but I need some more help. I get stuck at the second last step where you cd to the swiftfox/firefox dir.
I guess you may have installed firefox from the net and not through the repo's, because I do not have either of these directories.

I feel like I am almost closer to a solution though... seeing as i have followed 75% of the instructions.

Would anyone else like to comment as well? I have a feeling this is not too complicated if you know what you're doing

    Thanks

Yeah I installed swiftfox/firefox manuly (guide in my first post), I need the latest version for development purposes.

If you installed from repos there's no need to do any of the steps as it should have installed a native 64bit version (if your using 64bit). I never had any icon probs from the repo version.

I cant think why it wouldn't work, sorry I cant be more helpful.

Thanks for the help in any case, I'll keep playing with it. I am running the 32 bit version from the repo's so our versions are at least somewhat different, but I also get a blue globe as the firefox icon and not the telltale orange fox.

I think I'll remove and reinstall and see what happens. It was a bit annoying, but I have bigger fish to fry, so I let it slide for a while

        Regards

Arh I think thats to do with what icon package your using, I also had a blue globe... (from the Vista-Inspirate icons).

You should be able to change it from the (K)Menu editor as ctos posted on the first page.
