    Easy-to-get-to Volume Control?

Hi all! I'm new to Kubuntu. Been using Ubuntu (Gnome) for about a year.

I'm liking KDE4 a LOT! Very cool and my resources are holding their own!

Only problems I have are no easy to get to volume control (1) and no desktop weather(2). As for the volume control, it's gonna drive me nuts. I could find nothing for the task bar/panel and nothing for the desktop in general. I have volume control buttons on my keyboard, but they haven't worked under Linux hardly at all.

Also, I have been trying to find a weather/temp display, but no luck. Any suggestions, any one?

    Thanks in advance!

Couple thoughts - - Maybe an RSS Feed might do the job.

At one point the Ximian Evolution Email client could do this, but I really haven't looked at that for awhile.

Me - - I'd look at RSS, but I personally stay away from that being I'm on damned slow dialup.

-Volume control: try opening up kmix.
kmenu>applications>multimedia (or something, mine is in german)

Or just type kmix in the search field of kmenu.

-Weather widget. As far s I know there will be one soon. Superkaramba doesn't work very well at the moment.
I use forecast fox add on for Firefox.
