laptop as wi-fi acces point

hi .. im triing to find any documentation or howto, or just hits, that explain what i should do to make act my linux box as an wi-fi acces point.

for sure i have to install enad configure a dhcp server in order to listen the wlan card, but what i realy donkt know is how configure the encrition proticol ( wpa, tkip and so on ...)

Someone have a clue where i can get those infos?
