Asus Xonar Sound Card Not Detected?

I just installed Kubuntu 8 KDE4 Remix on my system to try out linux. Everything is working great except for the sound. I have a Asus Xonar DX PCIE sound card which it appears is not being detected. Any ideas how to get sound working?

Support was recently added in the kernel changelogs. Youd need to compile a custom latest kernel.

How do I do that? I can barely use the command line.

Recommend you wait for a distro to come out with the asus zonar driver support
