i get then when i ./configure anyone know how i can fix this

sudo apt-get install build-essential

Try installing the build-essential package. It contains a number of tools for building packages.

ok i did that now my code stalls on

checking for X... configure: error: Can't find X includes. Please check your installation and add the correct paths!
