Kubuntu live CD with KDE4 on a sony Vaio

Hey all,

New to Ubuntu and new to KDE. I tried to install Kubuntu with KDE4 in the wifes' Sony Vaio VGNC25.

I got a quick question. How do I switch Kick off back to the traditional menu in KDE3?

Do you mean the traditional kde3 kmenu?

That is easy.
point your mouse to the upper right hand side of your screen and choose "add widget"

Now scroll down to the "application launcher menu /tradtional menu" drag it to you panel and drop it there.

All set.

I always swap the traditional Kmenu (3.5.x) for the TastyMenu in the repo's.....installs as a panel applet. You might want to check it out.
