I cannot install kubuntu

Hello, I am new to kubuntu and I really want to try out kubuntu.
My problem:
I have 3 hd`s in my computer, on the first windows xp prof, the second data and on the third I was able to install Kubuntu.
But the third disk is to small.
So I want to install Kubuntu next to windows, at first I was able to partition the disk but the dvd player stopped reading the dvd and the installation stopped.
I have burned another dvd at speed 8 on a Optiarc DVD RW AD 7203A.
I also burned a cd image but everytime ( about 20 times) when I put the dvd or cd in the dvd player Kubuntu stops when the blue bar is moving.
PLEASE HELP

use the alternate cd. i know that the graphical installer is pretty, but happens that did not work as expected. Using the text mode installer usually solve the problem.
