Hi. I've searched without success for an easy way to backup encrypted partitions.
I liked Debian 4.0 which allowed encryption of all except boot partition on installation and now Kubuntu 8.04 does the same thing. I have only encrypted /home, swap and /tmp but backup has not been easy.
The best I've come up with so far is to encrypt an external hard disk, mount it, copy unencrypted home to it, then umount the external encrypted hard disk.
Any other ideas? Thanks.
