I've just gotten my brand new IBM T61 lappie, and successfully managed to create a dual-boot WinXP and Kubuntu 8.04/KDE 4 thing going (I'd dump the Windoze entirely but this new lappie needs to play some games that don't play well in wine or vmware). If it helps, I've also got the nVidia Quadro NVS 140M video card.
I tend to move around (following my kids) during the day, and need to use the Hibernate option to protect my hard drive (because this lappie, I want to take care of), but--I don't have the option. When I click on the "Leave" button at the Kmenu, it gives me two choices--Shutdown and Reboot. How do I activate a Hibernate option? And would there be any conflict with doing so in a dual-boot? Any help is appreciated.
Thanks!
