Okay, I have an NVidia GeForce FX 5200, I went to the ubuntu wiki to set up the TV out, when I took the longer route since the short route did not work, what happened, is that the X Server screwd up, and now I cannot load past the "battery state [ok]" I know I need to configure the xorg.conf file, but when I use the 686 (I think) kernel in the resoring style, which is console only, when I am root, I try to change the xorg.conf file, but it says I do not have permission, how do I correct this?
