    '/etc/kde3/kdm/Xservers' ???

Does Kubuntu store '/etc/kde3/kdm/Xservers' somewhere else on the Live CD? I need to be able to disable the local xserver from starting (#:0 local@tt ......). Any suggestions?

I don't know if I understand well, but if you're trying not to get kdm launched and no X, so removing /etc/init.d/kdm should do the trick...

I do want KDM to start, just not on the local display. Rather to XDMCP in via xming. I'm using colinux to try it out Kubuntu Live and to be able to XDMCP into it, I needed to comment out the local display entry in the Xservers file because colinux can not run a local X session. I've been able to do this thru with other distros, but can't seem to find away to do it with kubuntu. There is a link @

      http://wiki.colinux.org/cgi-bin/XCoLinux

if you do a find for 'AllowRootLogins', you'll be in the section that talks about this. Thanks for any and all help!
