problems getting packages

i have rebooted after installing packages, and with no adept allready running (or any apt get comands etc entered in a terminal) i get this message: "another process is using the packaging system database..... would you like to resolve this problem....." none of the options it promts solve the issue.

first noticed this problem after using the promted "install mp3 support" in amarok (i am a new user and am following the FAQ instructions) button was clicked.

everything else is going great, getting packages was up till now working and the software is great!!!

To fix Adept errors:

Open a console and type:

sudo dpkg --configure -a

should fix it, else continue with

sudo apt-get clean

sudo apt-get update

sudo apt-get install
