HOW TO: Use KDE 3.5/KDE 4 as alternate desktops in Ubuntu 8.4, I did a quick search and came up dry, I would like to use the KDE desktop but was not able to get the Kubuntu distro to Install properly. Although I can now download directly into Ubuntu instead of loading windows etc.

If you download the standard release of 8.04 you get KDE3.59 (stable). If you then want to have KDE4 in addition to the KDE3.5.9 desktop, you can download the kde4-core package. Read the post from claydoh here.Windows no longer obstructs my view.
