"Lost" taskbar on bottom of screen - how to recover

    Using Kubuntu 7.10

The taskbar/panel on the bottom of the screen has disappeared.

Is there a way of resetting it/recovering it so that it appears again?

    prss alt-f2 and enter kicker

By any chance have you installed the package kde-tweak? I did and my kicker bar disappeared as well, remove this package totally.

      Thank you for the reply

      But, kicker is running.

I may have set the panel/task to autohide, but it is no way I can make it visible.

Is there a command I can enter into console to reset it?

Maybe Alt-F2 "kcontrol" and then Desktop > Panels? Click the "hiding" tab and see if you can change the behavior.

          Dibl,

Thank you. What you suggested worked.
