Multiple versions of kernels - Can old versions be purged?

I'm currently running 8.04 beta version. I have 4 different versions of the kernel. Is there any way to purge/delete the older versions of the kernel?

Open up Adept Manager. In the search filter type: linux

Scroll down until you find the entries for Linux-Header and Linux-Image.
Select to uninstall the kernels you don't need. Be sure to uninstall nothing else and make sure it isn't your current image.

What Moonrise said, and just to be on the safe side, it is a good idea to keep one old version of the kernel that you know works.
