    wireless problems, medion md96500

    hi,
I'm really new to linux, and have quite a major problem. I'm using a medion MD96500 and cant get the wireless to work. I used to have ubuntu installed, and i did get it working then, using the acerhk appliance. The problem is, i cant remember how I did it! Now, when following the guide at http://znote4200.linux.dk/ (as far as i'm aware the 2 laptops are pretty identical) I can no longer get any results.

I checked dmesg and originally found the RF killswitch was on, no matter what i did with acerhk. If i go into the BIOS and change wireless mode to last state, then the killswitch is no longer on, but it still doesnt work. Below are my iwconfig and ifconfig's.

    Re: wireless problems, medion md96500

hey i looked a bit further, and i think i've been very stupid. the wireless is working fine, however for some reason it wont let me connect to managed networks... any advice? i found out using kwifi manager btw, and it will allow me to connect ad-hoc...
