another newb needs wireless wpa help (fixed)

    Hi,

I'm running kubuntu 7.1 on a new used laptop. I'm trying to get the wireless working but so it can connect to a WPA PSK protected network.

I've installed KNetworkManager and my wireless card shows up in System Settings (that means it works right?) but I'm not sure where to go from here.

I was using Dapper for a while on my old computer, but I mostly used it as a word processor, so I really don't know too much about linux. Is there a relatively easy way to get wireless up and running?

    Thanks.

Well, I kinda feel like an ass now, since I've been working on this for almost a week but figure it out an hour after I ask for help.

But if any other noobs read this, there's a program called Wicd. You can find the repository for it here, http://wicd.sourceforge.net/download.php, and it makes it real easy to connect, without any complicated command line work or anything.
