I would like to get an Internet Connection for my Linux, currently Kubuntu.
I don't want to support Telkom, because firstly they have a monopoly, secondly I have seen what bad after-sales service they give at work with our DSL line. So...that cuts out probably every landline broadband/internet provider. (?)
Does anyone have suggestions? Is there an alternative? Does Linux work with, say iBurst modems etc.
I get data from my cellphone provider, MTN, and use my phone's 3G modem generally, but can't find any Linux drivers for the phone (SonyEricsson W850i). If I had that, it'd be great because then I can perhaps also synchronise my phone's contacts, calendar etc. with Linux...
