    Newbie Help

    Hello all!

    Been using various distributions of Linux on and off for the past two years. Finally given up on the WinD'ohs! experiment and chosen to go with Linux full time.

    As I mentioned before, I've tried various other distributions and have decided that I like the Kubuntu variant the best.

    I do have a question however..

    I've been having trouble with the Adept manager, and I've seen that I am not alone with it hanging and giving errors when upgrading from 7.04 to 7.10. how do I do a version upgrade through Konsole? I've figured out how to do updates, but not a version upgrade.

    Many thanks in advance!

      Code:
      sudo apt-get update
      sudo apt-get upgrade
      sudo apt-get dist-upgrade
      or use aptitude instead of apt-get
      make sure to google them commands to get more info

      something like this
      Code:
       sudo apt-get update && sudo apt-get dist-upgrade && sudo apt-get dist-upgrade
      Manual upgrade

        Piece of advise, if you really dont like Adept try Synaptic. Adept still has a fair share of problems.
