Did something funny to K3b...help! (SOLVED)

    Hi again,

today I was ripping my CDs with k3b. Accidentally I pushed a button ( not even sure which), but the result was kinda shocking - the line on top of the window which usually says : File, Settings, Help... disappeared. If I try ripping a CD now, none of the dialog boxes open ( where you confirm information about the CD, edit track info etc.).I tried reinstalling and purging, however the program always turns up as it was after I nuked it.
Just to make myself clear, I took some screenshots so you can see what I'm talking about:

    That's how it should be.
And here's what it looks like now:

    Any ideas?
    I break it, therefore I learn it.<br />

Did you install KDE4? Mine now opens the same way as your second one -- I thought it was just because of the change to KDE4.

What happens when you click the "Further Actions" bar? I assume the user GUI can be changed -- I haven't put any effort into changing it back on my system.

Maybe it is: Ctrl + M (Hide/Show Menubar).
      Before you edit, BACKUP !

I am still using the old KDE (3.5.8. I think), but Rog131's suggestion worked ( thank you so much). After I got the Menubar back I clicked Settings, then Show directories & Show Contents, and now I'm back on the track...

        you guys are the best
